Maybe you haven’t found your specific ‘thing’ just yet, and that’s totally fine. The journey is all part of it and maybe it’ll take you one, two or even ten things before you find what you are passionate about. Maybe that passion remains a hobby, maybe it becomes a part time business, a full time small/big business – The choice is yours! There is no right or wrong, just what’s right for YOU.

For Stephanie and I it has been photography – Photography is our outlet. Stephanie and I actually met at a local photography day course and have been friends ever since. We talk all things photography, all the time. We support and encourage each other and definitely believe in #communityovercompetition (don’t be afraid to say hi, or ask to meet for coffee – I’m always down to meet other creatives).

When Stephanie reached out to do a branding shoot, I immediately said YES, YES PLEASE! Not only was I excited to do this for her, but I was also excited for the fact that 1) I got to hang out with another photographer and play, and 2) this meant that she was going to be doing big things with her business and showing more of HER, the photographer, the artist behind the shots (I’m guilty of not doing this – Maybe I should start showing a bit more of me, thoughts?). This was a total blast of a day! Stephanie went and had her hair done and then we met up to start our day. We started off with makeup (yes, I do makeup too, and not just for weddings!) because who doesn’t want makeup done for their photoshoot? From there we spent some time going over her vision and snapping some shots at her sister’s house, YAY for family members with beautiful kitchens and big windows, right? If anything, I felt like we were just catching up and just so happened to have our cameras handy, but no surprise there though.
